Speaking tour teaches labor law

A national legal speaking tour co-organized by the Beijing Foreign Enterprise Human Resources Services Co Ltd, or FESCO for short, and Occupation magazine, affiliated with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the People's Republic of China, wrapped up in Shanghai on Sept 7.

As the joint venture of FESCO in Shanghai, FESCO Adecco invited HR directors and HR managers from more than 400 companies to take part in the two-day tour, during which everyone was given the chance to exchange thoughts with experts present at the venue.

Yu Mingqin, deputy director of the Department of Laws and Regulations under the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, was invited to give a speech appraising the implementation of the Law of the People's Republic of China on Employment Contracts.

Li Yi, a senior lawyer with FESCO, was also present and shared his thoughts on controlling legal risks during the procedures of labor management.

The tour this year was well received among all who participated, not only because it provided value-added services to the enterprises FESCO Adecco serves in terms of legal requests, but also because it helped to solve management problems in real practice, enhance legal awareness among employees and promote harmonious employment.

The tour this year was launched in May and covered 18 cities over a four-month period. More than 5,000 human resources specialists from 3,000 foreign and domestic companies were given professional advice on the interpretation of new labor law, hot labor management issues and other related issues via speeches, case studies and Q&A sessions. A number of reports based on issues pertinent to human resources today problems have also been released

It is the second year that FESCO Adecco has held such a legal speech tour in Shanghai. With positive feedback given to it from various participants, FESCO Adecco is committed to creating more such activities to promote the sound development of companies.
